Behind the Barriers
Recognising and challenging the internal
and external
IRIS Consulting and Executive Action have developed a programme for women at a senior or executive level that will help them recognise and challenge both the internal and external blocks that could be affecting their professional development. The programme will be looking at the internal and external barriers faced by some women. It will consider where power actually lies in the organisation, how to recognise hostile working environments and, more importantly, how to challenge and take control over negative internal and external influences. There is a strong relationship between gender diversity, good corporate governance and high corporate performance. Ninety percent of the top 20 companies in the UK, by market capitalisation, had women directors in 2003 compared to only 40% of the bottom 20 companies. Learn to increase your interpersonal effectiveness, leadership
and communication skills Who should attend? Managers, aspiring managers and women on the verge of director-level
positions across all organisations. Details
