Equal Pay Issues to be Debated at Seminar

IRIS Consulting and the lawyers Trowers & Hamlins are holding a series of joint seminars at which issues relating to equal pay and other equality aspects of employment will be debated.

The first of these seminars is being held on 21 January at the offices of Trowers & Hamlins at Sceptre Court, 40 Tower Hill in the City of London.

The speakers at this lunchtime event will be:

• Emma Burrows – partner who leads the employment practice at Trowers & Hamlins
• Frances Kilvington – senior consultant who leads on equalities issues at IRIS Consulting


The seminar will look at:

1. Recent changes to legislation and cases
   
• What will 2003 bring?
• Where the law on equal pay is going


2. The business care for equality
• The benefits of compliance with the Code of Practice
• Working in partnership with staff
• Closing the pay gap
   
3. A surgery for participants to obtain practical advice on current issues
