Crown Estate Job Evaluation Review launched as part of Harmonisation Exercise

The Crown Estate has appointed IRIS Consulting to assist them carry out a major job evaluation exercise. This project will involve the development of a job evaluation method that can be applied to all the Crown Estate’s employees and will focus initially on the organisation’s non-office based employees.

The consultants began their work in April 2003 and aim to produce their main findings by the end of the year. The core team from IRIS Consulting who will be working on the project are:

The Crown Estate

The Crown Estate owns substantial blocks of urban property (including Regent’s Street) and almost 120,000 hectares of agricultural land and extensive marine holdings throughout the United Kingdom.

The Estate is managed under the provisions of the Crown Estate Act 1961 by the Crown Estate Commissioners who have a duty to maintain and enhance its capital value and the income received from it. The net annual surplus is paid to the Exchequer for the ultimate benefit of the taxpayer. The value of the Crown Estate’s land and buildings as at 31 March 2002 was £4,033 million.
