January 2007 IRIS Consulting is commissioned to carry out research into the trends in pay and remuneration for property and development staff. This assignment reflects growing concerns about the shortage of skilled professionals able to manage the increasingly complex deals that public, not-for-profit and private sector organisations are now entering into. August 2005 IRIS Consulting was appointed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as external consultants to carry out an independent evaluation of their pilot organisational and staffing arrangements. These arrangements comprised the formation of specialist pools for providing scientific and technical advice and inputs. 4 April 2005 IRIS Consulting was conducting research into the behaviour of benefit claimants in reporting changes in their circumstances. The Department for Work & Pensions commissioned this major national research project. In 7 March 2005 Hamish Davidson, former head of Veredus and PricewaterhouseCoopers Executive Search and Selection, was appointed as non-executive Chairman of IRIS Consulting. In February 2005 IRIS Consulting was engaged by the DWP to deliver a key piece of work regarding the development of race equality as part of the public sector procurement process. In October 2004 a good practice Guidance Paper was produced, based on research carried out by IRIS Consulting. This relates to encouraging good change management practices with housing transfer and ALMOs. In September 2004 the Government published IRIS Consulting's report written by Lisa Grainger, Dr Emma Bird, and John Harvey about local authority management styles. A team from IRIS Consulting was selected by the Department for Work & Pensions to carry out research into the management styles of local authority housing benefit managers. A multi-disciplinary team led by IRIS Consulting was appointed by the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) to review the impact of the Single Room Rent Regulations applying to under-25s claiming housing benefit. The
Department for Work & Pensions published the IRIS Consulting report
on outsourcing of Housing and Council Tax Benefits. Crown Estate Job Evaluation Review was launched as part of a Harmonisation Exercise. The Crown Estate appointed IRIS Consulting to assist them carry out a major job evaluation exercise. East
of England Development Agency (EEDA) appointed IRIS Consulting to
provide advice and briefings to their staff on equality issues. January
2003 Speakers from IRIS Consulting gave presentations at a seminar
organised by the Government Department formerly known as the Office of
the Deputy Prime Minister. The Change Management Seminar was called Communities
Plans: Making Things Happen. (This Press Release
was issued in January 2003). IRIS Consulting was part of a joint team to carry out research into Local Authority outsourcing of Housing Benefits and Council Tax Administration commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions. Ridgehill Housing Association appointed IRIS consultants to carry out diversity awareness training for all staff. This training included sessions on the concept of diversity, and exercises exploring how diversity is applied to day-to-day work situations. |
